Presley....4 months old already!

Presley turned 4 months old last week.  Had her check up and everything is looking good.  She is 26 1/4  inches long and 13 pounds 3 oz....which makes her long and skinny, but you could tell that just looking at her ;)  She learned how to roll from back to front last week and she scooches herself on her back all over the floor.....guess it is time to 'baby proof' the house.  I think that will be a tough adjustment for Avery and Kenzie!!  Presley may eat a polly pocket shoe or two in the process.......oh the third child!! 

I love love love her big blue round eyes...my dad calls them "big blue marbles"  She has the best giggle and is super social...you are pretty much guaranteed a smile if you give her any attention at all! And, she has a fabulous chubby cheek smile, complete with dimples.
On the day she turned 4 months she decided to become a 'newlyborn' again and has begun waking for middle of the night feeds.....I am personally not a big fan of this, but this too shall pass!!  A harsh transition for mommy though, especially now since I am just recently back to work and have to actually function in society....I know, I have just been really spoiled by her.  She had been sleeping 11 or 12 hours straight through the night since she was 5 weeks old.  I have my fingers crossed hoping that this is just a growth spurt or something and it will pass quickly.  For now, I will just enjoy getting in an extra snuggle in the night to make up for the ones that I am missing while at work  =)

Love is in the house.....and the house is packed!!

So, I don't think I have ever actually celebrated Valentines Day before??  I have always thought it was too forced or something...like if you love me you will buy me flowers and do something special today!!  Right now my girls (avery especially)  LOVE parties, themes, any reason to decorate the house! So, I decided to amp it up this year.  Worked out perfectly because Avery had school today and Kenzie and I had every thing decorated and ready for when she got home.  Avery loves surprises just like her mama.  We had a lot of fun and lots of yummy treats.  My parents gave us a cute little chocolate fondue pot for Christmas, so of course we had to try that it....delicious!   Unfortunately, Dean is still feeling a little sick.....so he probably didn't enjoy the candlelight dinner as much as the rest of us.  Overall, a very Happy Valentine Day for us filled with the ones I love most. 
  So what do my kids love most in the whole wide world??
          Kenzie loves: Tico(her little lovie), Nana and Papas house and Costco
          Avery loves:  Rainbow (her build a bear) Hawaii, and Presley
          Presley loves:  well ok, so she couldn't tell us........but I am sure she would say her Mommy??  well! one of the kids has to say that right??

I got the girls their own bouquets of flowers and balloons, so we didn't have to share =)

Let the Sun Shine

Today was such a gorgeous day!! Cold, but Beautiful and sunny.  Avery and Kenzie took full advantage of the sun shining and spent most of the day outside riding bike, digging in the dirt and making "mud pies"  The sunset tonight was just incredible.........Avery said it made her feel like "twirling in her sundress"  so that is what she did.  =)

Okay, so I couldn't pick just one........we got together at my grandma and grandpa Crabtrees today to celebrate all the February birthdays in our family.  Even had names on the cake of family members who were not present today.  Happy Birthday to Papa(robert), Kaylee, Jayden, Jaycee and GIGI(grandma crabtree)

Crazy___Cozy Saturday Nights

So, this has become a bit of a tradition now.  My Saturday night is usually spent with these crazy girls in the jetted tub playing "barbie beach bubble party" (with swimsuit on...FYI)  It is a small thing, but it is one thing that me and the 'big girls' get to do together.  We usually light some candles, turn on some music and watch the bubbles take over the bathroom.  Fun times!!
    In other news.....we have all been hit with some dreaded virus this week.  Dean has definitely been hit the hardest. He even called in sick 3 days in a row....that is saying something, (considering this guy went to work when he had kidney stones) So, we have really laid low this whole week.  Avery made it through the best....maybe 1/2 day of feeling down and then she bounced right back.....she was not about to miss a day of school!!  It is Presleys first cold, she has faired pretty well.  Sounds congested and snotty with a thick cough, but has continued to eat well and sleep great and is still very happy during the day.

 Avery to me....."Holy guacamole mom....this juice has 100 calories!!....I better have a lot of it, I got 3 pounds to go"     (apparently she is trying to gain 3 pounds so that she can weigh 40 pounds)  and it didn't say 100 calories it said 100 o/0  juice,  she thinks she has to weigh 40 pounds to go on rides at Disneyland....not sure where that came from?

And..........is it just me, or does this little cherub look like she is becoming a bit of a red head??
Definitely darker hair than Avery and Kenzie had at this age ( who am I kidding Avery and Kenzie had NO hair at this age...just shiny heads with a tiny amount of white peach fuzz )
